She spoke about her health issues, including central sensitivity syndrome, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis. She also discussed her husband's firing from his church position and her efforts to support other pastors' wives.
Writing and Self-Publishing Discussion: Mandy discussed her children's book, "Soft Hugs for Mommy," which will come out in May.
Devotional Plans and Music's Role in Chronic Illness: Mandy shared her plans for her upcoming devotional, "From Dissonant to Harmony," which will be released next year. She highlighted the role of music and Scripture in providing strength and sustenance during difficult times.
Mandy Farmer served as a children’s minister for 25 years; teaching, singing, and developing curriculum. However, in 2011, her life took an unexpected turn, and she began her journey with chronic pain. She retired but desired to share her journey with others and started a blog. She found that writing was great therapy and began writing devotions relating to the struggles of illness. Encouraged to publish, she began her publishing journey, beginning with picture books. Her second picture book, Soft Hugs for Mommy, will be released in the spring of ’24.
